Welcome to Building the Ergonomic Guitar (BTEG) - the site on guitar designs, ergonomics and guitar building. I’m Robert Irizarry - the site’s writer and admin.
How It Got Started
After years of chronic back pain, I began researching ergonomic guitars hoping to discover instruments that wouldn’t further aggravate my condition. Shortly thereafter, I decided to explore further by building my own electric guitar and in March 2006, BTEG was launched.
Since then, BTEG has grown to include the works of both professional and amateur guitar builders and is now the site on ergonomic guitars and basses.
