100 Posts and Counting!

100 posts

This past Monday marked my 100th post on Building the Ergonomic Guitar – a small but significant milestone.

I started this blog to document my first guitar project, note ideas around ergonomic design, discuss Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) and track guitar building related material. These subjects will always remain at its heart.

Since then, I’ve been very fortunate to discover guitar builders, both professional and amateur, who have thought about ergonomics and incorporated these ideas into new guitar designs. As a result, it has also become a place to highlight the works of pioneering guitar makers – luthiers who have challenged our expectations about what a guitar is while trying to improve its ergonomic failings.

I’ve also been watching for guitar players performing on these guitars. After all, what good is a guitar that doesn’t serve a musical vision? And so, you’ll see periodic YouTube videos highlighting a number of fine guitarists expressing themselves on these unique guitars.

It continues to be an exciting journey with Building the Ergonomic Guitar becoming much more than I ever anticipated. Thank you to all my readers for your support, comments and insight.

Now it’s time to start working on the next 100 posts…

  3. Robert, this is my first post although I have been a reader for quite some time. I really enyoy your site and there is no doubt that it fills a huge place for all of us interested in ergonomic guitar design to see what is happening all over the world and discuss what will be happening in the future. All the best to you!
